Rovio Academy: Job Opportunities with the Creators of Angry Birds

Rovio Mobile, the developer behind the incredibly popular Angry Birds game, has announced the launch of the Rovio Academy. If you dreamt about working as a game developer for Rovio Mobile, if you are a talented programmer, and if you can speak Finnish, then you have to enroll in the Rovio Academy.

Rovio Academy, as the Finnish computer game developer explained, is a six-month recruitment and training program. 10 devs who can speak finish, have C++ experience, and want to become experts in the games industry will join the Academy, which is organized by Rovio Mobile, Saranen Consulting, and the Finnish Employment and Economic Administration.

“Our goal is to take ten new talents on board, provide them with training by experienced experts from the industry, and hire all trainees as game programmers at Rovio. The program consists of altogether 26 training days; both theoretical teaching, guided on-the-job learning and on-the-job training. The application period lasts until February 20th, and the training begins at the beginning of April 2011,” explained Rovio Mobile.
