Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus became available for pre-order on the 12th of September and a record number of people rushed to pre-order Apple’s new devices: 4 million pre-orders in the first 24 hours.

“iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are better in every way, and we are thrilled customers love them as much as we do,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Pre-orders for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus set a new record for Apple, and we can’t wait to get our best iPhones yet into the hands of customers starting this Friday.”

On Friday, September 12, Apple’s thinnest smartphones ever, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, became available for pre-order. Interest in the new devices was quite high – which is not surprising when we talk about Apple. What is surprising is the record number of people who rushed to pre-order a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus. You see, Apple got more than 4 million pre-orders in the first 24 hours.

Apple wasn’t ready for so many pre-orders. Demand for the new iPhones exceeds Apple’s initial pre-order supply. This means that some of the people who ordered a new iPhone will get it on Friday, September 19, and throughout the month of September. Some unlucky customers though will get their new iPhone in October.

On Friday, September 19, the new iPhones will become available for purchase at Apple retails stores in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, and Singapore.

On Friday, September 26, the new iPhones will go on sale in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

If you’re planning on getting an iPhone 6 then you need to know that the suggested retail prices in the US, with a two-year contract, are $199 for the 16GB model, $299 for the 64GB model $399 for the new 128GB model.
