Don’t you hate it when you open multiple tabs and one of them starts to play some music, or a video, or an ad?

Well, the latest Chrome release, version 32.0, has a cool feature that will help you quickly find out what tab is playing music.
UPDATE January 16: Chrome for Android/iOS has also been updated to version 32. This version features a cool feature that significantly reduces data usage.

The stable version of Chrome version 32.0 has recently been released to the public. This new version comes with several changes, but the one I like most is the fact that it makes it easier to identify tabs that play sound – music, videos, ads, any other thing that makes noise.

Say you’re browsing the web, you have tons of open tabs, and suddenly some annoying sound starts to play. You know one of the tabs is playing an audio track, a video, or an add – but you don’t know which one. Now you have to go through all of them and try to find the one that makes noise.

With Chrome 32.0 you need only take a quick look at the tabs and you will immediately spot the one that makes sound. That is because a speaker icon shows up in the tab that plays music. Check out the image below to better understand what I’m going on about.

There are other new features that Chrome version 32.0 has to offer. Here’s a list of the other new features you should know about:
  • Interface – the default styling for UI elements has been updated. This means that Windows 8 and 8.1 desktop users will enjoy a new look, one that matches the sleek design of the new Chrome Metro interface.
  • Safe Browsing – the Safe Browsing feature that protects against malware is now even stronger.
  • Supervised users – a beta version of supervised users is offered by Chrome 32. Create a supervised user and you can review that user’s browsing activity and restrict access to certain sites.

You can get Chrome 32 for Windows right here on FindMySoft.
