We’ve known about the new Apple Watch since the fall of 2014. And even though Tim Cook dropped a hint, saying that the Apple Watch will start shipping in April 2015, we did not have any precise dates. Well, now we do!

At a special event in San Francisco, Apple announced that the Apple Watch will be available for preview beginning April 10 and will go on sale on April 24. Pre-orders via the Apple Online Store will also kick off on April 10, 2015.

Apple Watch, gold winner in the 2015 iF Design Awards, will be available in these 9 countries at first: Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US.

Apple retail stores in these countries will give fans the chance to preview and try the Apple Watch, beginning April 10. On the same date, the Apple Watch will become available for pre-order. And on April 24, the Apple Watch will become generally available for anyone who wants to purchase it. Speaking of which…

Until know we’ve known that there are three Apple Watch collections – Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch Edition; available in two different sizes, 38 mm and 42 mm – and that the pricing for these collections starts at $349. At the special event in San Francisco, Apple provided some more information about the pricing:

Apple Watch – available from $549 to $1,099. It has a polished stainless steel or space black stainless steel case, a display protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and features a nice selection of bands – three leather bands, a link bracelet, a Milanese loop, and a band that’s made from high-performance fluoroelastomer.

Apple Watch Sport – priced at $349 and $399. It has a light and strong anodized aluminum case, a display protected by strengthened Ion-X glass, and features colorful fluoroelastomer bands meant for an active lifestyle.

Apple Watch Edition – prices start at $10,000. It has a case made from rose or yellow 18-karat gold alloys, a display protected by polished sapphire crystal, and features a selection of exquisitely designed bands.

The Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone – an iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8.2 or later.
