Security company AVG Technologies has a new app to offer for free to Android users: AVG Uninstaller. It provides an efficient means of removing apps from your Android device and an efficient means of uncovering which apps should be removed from your phone or tablet.

Security company AVG Technologies recently announced that it added a new app to its mobile offering (see here and here). The new app I am talking about is called AVG Uninstaller and, as its name so adequately points out, it helps you remove the app you no longer need or you no longer want on your Android-powered device. With AVG Uninstaller you have a free, easy, and speedy means of removing unused and unwanted apps from your Android phone or tablet.

AVG Uninstaller Main Features

See how storage space is being used
The app tells you how much space each app takes up on your device. This way you know how much space you will free up when you uninstall an app.

See how often or how rarely you use apps
If you hardly ever use an app, chances are that you don’t need it. AVG Uninstaller tells you which apps you hardly or never use, and thus helps you decide if you want to keep or uninstall them.

Find out how much apps drain your battery
The app also tells you how much battery each app uses. If an app eats up too much power, it’s best to remove it.

Find out which apps eat into your data plan
And last but not least, AVG Uninstaller tells you how much of your mobile data plan is used up by each app that is installed on your device.

AVG Uninstaller is available for download for free on Google’s Play Store.
It works with phones and tablets powered by Android 2.2 or higher.

Additional information on AVG Uninstaller is available here.
