UPDATE, August 6 - the lifetime edition sold out in a mere 8 hours.

The team behind Feedly recently introduced a new paid Pro version. Upgrade to the Pro version and you will get to search within your feeds, browse on an encrypted connection, and more.

“Feedly Pro will be generally available this fall for $5 per month (or $45 per year). To help kick-start the program, we are offering a limited lifetime edition which gives you early access to Feedly Pro and grants you a lifetime membership,” explained the Feedly team.

The team behind Feedly, the online service that does a properly good job of replacing the now defunct Google Reader, recently introduced a new paid Pro version. Starting this fall, Feedly Pro will be generally available for $5 per month or $45 per year. But if you act right now, you can get your hands on a lifetime Feedly Pro edition for just 99$. Please note that the offer is limited to 5,000 users, so if you want Feedly Pro, act now!

As a Google Reader user, I find it quite annoying that Feedly does not let me search within my feeds. Seems like this wasn’t an oversight, it was a feature that was reserved for the Pro version. For $5 per month, $45 per year, or $99 for a lifetime edition, you can search within your feeds and more. Here’s a quick look at what Feedly Pro has to offer.

Feedly Pro Main Features
  • Search – you can search within your feeds.
  • HTTPS – you can browse on an encrypted connection.
  • Evernote – with a mouse click you can save to content to Evernote.
  • Premium support – Pro customers will get premium support from the Feedly team.

These are just some of the new features Feedly Pro will offer. More features will be added based on customer feedback. Feedly Pro customers will get to vote on what features they would like to get.
