If you’re looking for a fun game to play on your iOS-powered device, something zombie-themed and not expensive at all, then I recommend you try the fun app Zombie Gunship, available for purchase in the App Store for only 99 cents.

The goal in this Limbic Software developed application is a simple one: you have to shoot down the zombies. You are in control of a heavily-armed AC-130 ground attack aircraft and you have to fire the airship’s powerful guns to destroy the zombies. Collect coins to upgrade your guns and become an even more efficient zombie destroying machine.

“What’s the purpose behind all this zombie shooting?” some of you may be saying right about now. The purpose is to keep the zombies away from the bunker where survivors of the zombie apocalypse (or zombocalypse as I like to call it) have taken shelter. It is important that throughout the stages of the game (Bunker Charlie 1, Bakersfield, and Pleasant Acres; the developer says more scenarios will be added in the future) you protect the survivors in the bunker and the survivors who are trying to make it to the bunker. So you must shoot the zombies so the survivors make it.

As I mentioned above, you get to collect coins that you can use to upgrade your weapons. Speaking about weapons, I think it fitting to mention the authentic weapons the game features: 25mm Gatling gun, 40mm Bofors auto-cannon, and 105mm Howitzer cannon.

If you have an iPhone 4S, a second generation or a third generation iPad, you can stream Zombie Gunship to your HDTV wirelessly.

Zombie Gunship is available for purchase in the App Store for the low price of 99 cents. As it is universal, the app will work on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad powered by iOS 4.1 or later. Have fun playing this quite entertaining game!
