On Tuesday, May 12th, the free security solution System Security Guard was updated to version 3.0. Developer Mister Group, known for its free and award-winning sys internals management tool System Explorer, announced that System Security Guard version 3.0 comes with the following new features:

Interface
Mister Group revamped the interface with version 3.0 so that System Security Guard is now even more appealing and even easier to use. This is something that all computer users, novices and experienced users alike, will certainly appreciate. After all, nobody likes a bad looking, difficult to use interface – and System Security Guard’s interface is neither of those things.

Here is a picture of the new interface. Those who tested System Security Guard 2.3 Beta will certainly be familiar with it.

Settings
The updated version 3.0 also comes with a new Settings section. From the Settings menu you can change the program language, pick if you want System Security Guard to launch automatically after you log in, select if you want the scanner to run in the background, and pick between Learning and Alert Mode for New Process Alert.

Here’s an image of the new Settings section.

Security
Version 3.0 comes with improved security notifications and an enhanced security scanner. The application does its job even more efficiently now. What is System Security Guard’s job? The application scans your running processes and modules and compares them with a cloud-based file security database; if it finds potentially dangerous files, it warns you. It also notifies you about new processes or modules. A close look at what System Security Guard does is available in this FindMySoft review.

Bugs
Various bugs that plagued the application have been fixed.
