Each year, on the 14th of February, people from all over the world will celebrate Valentines Day. To help you prepare for this joyous occasion Redmond-based software giant Microsoft has released a Valentines Day-inspired theme for Windows 7. Called Lovebirds, the theme is available for download on the Windows 7 Personalization Gallery here. You can grab it free of charge and use it to decorate your computer.

What does the Lovebirds theme have to offer? It is a collection of 5 purple images that feature lovely birds. Here’s how Microsoft describes this Windows 7 theme: “Love is a finely feathered thing, in this free Windows 7 theme featuring shadowbox-style lovebirds. Download it in time for Valentine's Day.”

If you don’t like this theme, you can get plenty others from the Windows 7 Personalization Gallery which is home to more than 100 Windows 7 themes. Alongside the more than 100 themes, the Gallery is home to about 80 desktop wallpapers, various desktop gadgets and multiple SideShow gadgets.

Moving on, rumor on the web has it that Rovio Mobile will release a Valentines version of its incredibly popular Angry Birds game.

Moving on still, you can expect the bad guys to exploit Valentines Day and try to peddle their malware. Antispam Research Engineer with TrendLabs, Cristina Buenviaje issued a warning saying that users should be on the lookout for Valentines Day spam.

“Every year, Valentine’s Day is marked by lovers exchanging flowers as well as giving confectioneries and sending greeting cards to each other. As early as now, spammed messages exploiting the occasion have been spotted online,” said Cristina Buenviaje.

And now here’s the Lovebirds preview I mentioned above.
