Earlier this week Rovio Mobile announced that it would update Angry Birds seasons in honor of St Patrick’s Day. At the time Rovio said the update would be called Go Green and posted a trailer on YouTube (see it here). The other day Rovio announced that the St Patrick’s Day update would be released today, the 10th of March.

True to its word, Rovio Mobile updated Angry Birds Seasons in honor of St Patrick’s Day. Angry Birds Seasons 1.3.0 has gone live today in the App Store (check it out here).

“As we all know, every season is an Angry Birds season. After Trick Or Treat, Season’s Greedings and Hogs and Kisses, Angry Birds Seasons returns with the greenest episode yet: Go Green for St. Patrick’s Day! Have a lucky St. Patrick’s Day by popping more pigs!” said Rovio Mobile in the app’s description.

Rovio Mobile then went on to explain that Angry Birds 1.3 comes with the following new bits and pieces:
- 15 new very green levels.
- 2 new Golden Eggs and an undisclosed St Patrick’s Day surprise
- There are pots of gold everywhere.
- From within the app you can send St Patrick’s Day card to your friends.

As a little side note, if you want to prepare for St Patrick’s Day, you should check out the recently released Ireland theme for Windows 7. Offered free of charge by Microsoft on the Personalization Gallery, the theme is a collection of 17 top quality images that depict the beauty of Ireland. But that’s not the best part; the best part is that the theme comes with a unique sound-scheme based on traditional Celtic music.

Jennifer Shepherd, site manager for the Windows Personalization Gallery, said that “there’s certainly no substitute for hearing live music (or for visiting Ireland in the flesh), but with our new Ireland theme and its custom sound-scheme, a touch of Celtic spirit is as close as your Windows 7 PC.”
