Google introduced a new feature for its Google Play app store: the option to pre-register for upcoming Android apps.

And the first app that you can pre-register for is Glu Mobile’s Terminator Genisys: Revolution action game.

Here are a couple of news that are related to one another.

The first one is that Google Play just got a new feature: it now lets Android users pre-register for upcoming Android apps. Thanks to this new feature, you’ll always know when an interesting new app is published to Google Play. You’ll get a notification to download or purchase the app you’ve been anxiously waiting for.

You can pre-register for free and, if you change your mind, you can unregister at any time. Pre-registering for an app does not mean you’re obligated to download or buy it once it’s published to Google Play. It just means that you’ll get a notification when the app becomes available to the public.

Now that you know you can pre-register for apps on Google Play, here’s the second news is wanted to bring to your attention.

The first app to benefit from Google Play’s new pre-register feature is Glu Mobile’s Terminator Genisys: Revolution.

The story in this action-packed third-person sci-fi shooter is set in the year 2028, when the fight against the machines has humanity on the brink of extinction. John Connor is humanity’s last hope – and it’s up to you to help him.

You’ll get to join the Resistance and fight alongside key Resistance members from the movie. You’ll get to fight in hundreds of missions and make your way up the ranks. You’ll use a variety of present-day and futuristic weapons as you fight the machines in post-apocalyptic locations.

The upcoming Terminator Genisys: Revolution will be free to play. But mind you, it will offer in-app purchases.
