Pre-order Now: Angry Birds Star Wars for Console

Angry Birds Star Wars for consoles is available for pre-order right now. The game will go on sale on the 29th of October in the US and the 1st of November in the rest of the world.

For this autumn, Rovio has two releases planned for the Star Wars version of its popular Angry Birds game. The first release will be on the 19th of September – that is when Rovio and Lucasfilm will rolled out Angry Birds II to the public. The second surprise will come on the 29thth of October and the 1st of November – that’s when Angry Birds for consoles will be rolled out in the US and internationally.

Re-mastered for gaming systems, Angry Birds Star Wars will be available for the following consoles: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. Console users from the US will get to enter the Star Wars universe on October 29th. Console users from the rest of the world will have to wait until November 1st to go on an epic adventure that will have them blast away Pigtroopers from the deserts of Tatooine to the depths of the Pig Star.

Rovio Entertainment explained that Angry Birds Star Wars for consoles will feature:
  • All new competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes.
  • 20 exclusive new levels create specifically for consoles.
  • Over 25 hours of engaging gameplay.
  • Original Star Wars music composed by John Williams.

Angry Birds Star Wars II, the game that is penciled in for a September 19th release, will introduce a selection of over 30 never-before-seen Angry Birds Star Wars characters – and accompanying these new characters there will be a line of over 30 collectable TELEPODS figures from Hasbro. When you place the figurine onto your phone or tablet, your character of choice will be "teleported" directly into the game.
