Plants vs Zombies 2 Launches Worldwide, Becomes an Instant Hit

Plants vs Zombies 2, the sequel to PopCap’s incredibly popular game, has recently been released worldwide. Unsurprisingly, the game was an instant hit, reaching 16 million downloads in just 5 days and more than 25 million downloads in less than two weeks.

The highly anticipated sequel to the incredibly popular Plants vs Zombies game has been rolled out worldwide by PopCap Games. The game comes with a new time-travel theme, new plants and zombies, new challenges, new levels, new gameplay enhancements, new gesture-based power-ups, and more.

Right now, the game can is available exclusively for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad users. They can grab the game for free from Apple’s App Store here.
PopCap explained that the game will become available for other platforms later this year.

I’m sure it comes as no surprise when I tell you that Plants vs Zombie 2 was an instant hit. A mere 5 days after its worldwide launch, more than 16 million downloads were recorded. And about two weeks after the game’s launch, the number of downloads went up to 25 million. That’s more than the total lifetime sales figures of the original game.
