Microsoft’s Windows Team was glad to announce that a very popular strategy game is now available for Windows Phone. The game in question is Ndemic Creations’ award-winning Plague Inc.

Can you infect the world…on a Windows Phone? Yes, you can infect the world now that Plague Inc is available for download on Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store.

Ndemic’s Plague Inc. game nicely blends together strategy and realistic simulation. The goal in this game is to create and release a plague on the world. You have to help it evolve and spread until it infects the whole world. Start from “patient zero”, help your plague evolve and spread, win the game when you’ve managed to infect everyone and bring humanity to its knees.

Until now, you could play Plague Inc. on two types of devices: iOS-powered devices or Android-powered devices. Now, you can also play the game on devices powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone. Indeed, the Plague Inc. game finally landed on the Windows Phone Store.

“Plague Inc. is available to download from the Windows Phone Store,” the Windows Team announced. “Can you infect the world? That’s the tantalizing question posed by Plague Inc. In this unique mix of high strategy and terrifyingly realistic simulation, you are simultaneously evolving a pathogen to move past newly infected Patient Zero, making sure it continues adapting to the means humanity uses to defend itself. Plague Inc. features innovative play in a game built for touchscreens, making this you-against-the-world drama a thrilling adventure – and puts you in a nightmare where only the strongest can survive!”

Get Plague Inc. from the Windows Phone Store. You’ll have to part with $0.99 to get the game.

Please note that Plague Inc. works with devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1. The game is localized in English, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, French, Japanese, Korean and Russian.
