With the free and portable PickMeApp tool you can transfer applications from one operating system to another. This comes in handy when you want to migrate applications from your work to your home PC for example.

It also comes in handy when you want to perform a fresh OS install on a PC. Installing the operating system will not take long, not on today’s powerful hardware. Reinstalling all the applications you need will take a bit of time though. Instead of reinstalling them, you can use PickMeApp to transfer them.

PickMeApp Is Free and Portable, But Pay Attention

You can get the application from its official website here. The bad news is that you will have to provide a valid email to get PickMeApp. The good news is that your email address will remain private and will not be used to spam you.

PickMeApp is portable, which is great – you can stick the app on an USB stick and conveniently take it with you. What’s not so great is that the setup wizard that will help you get the application up and running will ask to install some additional software. Make sure to decline if you want PickMeApp and PickMeApp alone.

Use PickMeApp to Backup, Migrate Applications

PickMeApp can take applications from a source PC and transfer them to a target PC. It works like this. On the source PC, it captures the application’s details and stores them in a collection. You can then create a personalized software package. Go to the target PC and use the aforementioned software package to transfer all captured applications. This makes PickMeApp a nice choice for anyone who wants to backup applications. And it definitely makes it a great choice for anyone who wants to migrate applications from one PC to another.
