People Would Rather Give Up Sex than their Mobile Phone, Survey Finds
Do you have any idea what people are willing to give up on just to keep their mobile phones? According to a study performed by TeleNav, a global leader in location-based applications delivered via a mobile device, they’re willing to give up on quite a lot.
According to the TeleNav survey, a third of respondents said they would much rather give up on sex for a week than give up their mobile phones. Must be mentioned here that women (unsurprisingly I might say) were more willing to give up sex in favor of their mobile phones than women. 70% of those who said they would give up on sex for a week were women.
The study also revealed that 55% of respondents would much rather give up on caffeine for a week than give up their mobile phones, that 64% would pick their mobile phone over chocolate, and that 70% would forego alcohol for a week instead of their mobile phones.
For 22% of respondents dental hygiene is not as important as their mobile phone. 22% of respondents said they would much rather give up on their toothbrush for a week. Out of all the respondents who have an iPhone, a staggering 40% said they would rather part with their toothbrush than their iPhone. Moving on, for 20% of respondents shoes are less important than their mobile phones. That percentage went up to 43% among iPhone users.
Speaking of iPhone users it must be said that the survey revealed they are the most likely to give up on various items in favor of their device. The survey showed that smartphone users are more attached to their devices than mobile phone users and that amongst smartphone users, those who have iPhones are more attached to their device than those who have a BlackBerry or an Android-powered smartphone.
