Overwatch and ESO Tamriel Unlimited are Free to Play, this Weekend Only

Overwatch, the team-based shooter that’s more than 20 million players strong, goes free to play this weekend. So does The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) Tamriel Unlimited.

Overwatch is free to play on PC, PS4, Xbox One

Overwatch, Blizzard’s team-based multi-player first-person shooter video game is free to play from 11AM PT November 18 until 4PM PT November 21. The free to play offer is available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

To play Overwatch for free on PC, you must download and install the Battle.net desktop app, create a free Battle.net account, and install the Overwatch game.

To play Overwatch for free on PS4, you must download Overwatch Free Weekend from the PlayStation Store.

And to play Overwatch for free on Xbox One, you must find Overwatch: Origins Edition on the Xbox Store, click Free Trial, and wait for the download and installation to complete.

"For this free weekend, we're making Overwatch's full roster of 22 heroes and 13 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the latest Weekly Brawl. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options," announced Blizzard.

There is a 23rd Overwatch hero, a Spanish hacker called Sombra. But, as mentioned above, she won’t be available.

ESO Tamriel Unlimited is already free to play on PC, Mac, PS4

Tamriel isn’t going free to play this weekend, because it is already free to play since Wednesday. The offer is available for PC, Mac and PS4 until November 20 at 11:59PM local time in Europe and 11:59PM EST in North America.

To play Tamriel on a PS4 console, you’ll need to get the game from the PlayStation Store and create an ESO account. To play Tamriel on a PC or Mac, you must get the game from Steam and create an ESO account.

Once you do that, you will get full access to the base game and 500 crowns to spend in Crown Store (but pretty much everything costs more than that).

The free to play offer begins at 9AM PST Friday, November 18 and lasts until 11:59PM PST Monday, November 21. During this time, if you decide to buy NBA 2K17, you can get the game for a discount of up to 40%.
