Today, the 25th of July, Opera Software, the Norwegian software developer behind the popular and innovative Opera browser, announced that it entered a partnership with UTV Indiagames, an integrated game developer-publisher across mobile, online and the interactive television. Opera Software entered the partnership with the goal of bringing gaming content to the Opera Mini Speed Dial.

The ones who stand to benefit from this partnership are the users. And more to the point Opera Mini users in India. They stand to benefit from this partnership because they will get to enjoy popular games and other gaming products while on the go.

As Opera Software explained, Indian Opera Mini users will have access to “an exciting collection of premium quality games” developed by UTV Indiagames. A UTV Indiagames shortcut will show up in the Speed Dial of all the users who download the Opera Mini browser; the link will start showing up this month. Existing Opera Mini users will get to see the UTV Indiagames shortcut after they upgrade their browser.

“Opera users can now access a world class portfolio of high-definition games on their mobile devices including DLF IPL Cricket, Pirates of the Caribbean and Cars 2,” said Samir Bangara, COO, UTV Indiagames. “The Speed Dial shortcut solves the ‘discovery’ problem and gives users immediate and convenient access to thousands of exciting games and other entertainment products tailored for their mobile phones.”

“Variety is the spice of life. We are committed to providing all our users with the best, comprehensive browsing experience,” said Sunil Kamath, Sales Director for India & SAARC, Opera Software. “By bringing quality content to Opera Mini users in India, we are able to give them quick access to an interesting mix of their selected sites. UTV Indiagames captures all the thrills and excitement from its games, right here and right now in the Opera Mini Speed Dial.”
