Opera Software, the Norwegian developer behind the Opera browser, introduced its best browser for Android-powered smartphones: Opera for Android (currently in Beta). It comes with a built-in download manager, a new Discover feature with automated content delivery, Off Road data-saving mode, and a dynamic Speed Dial.

Check out the video below! Entitled “Discover out bet browser for Android”, it is a quick presentation of the new mobile web browser for Android that Opera Software rolled out to the public.

Let’s take a closer look at the browser feature I mentioned at the start of this article, shall we? And to keep things nice and short and do this in list form. Here goes.

Opera for Android (Beta) Main Features
  • Speed – the browser is fast, it is Opera’s fastest browser for Android. And keeping with the speed the, it must be said that it is very easy to use. You’ll be able to load pages instantly and easily surf the web.
  • Off-Road Mode – this feature is the evolution of Opera Turbo; it compresses web pages so you can enjoy high-speed browsing on a poor connection or outside your regular network.
  • Download Manager – the app comes with a built-in download manager that lets you download, pause, and resume files from the web. This means you can download and keep movies, music and other media files.
  • Discover – this new feature, as Opera Software put it, helps you stay one step ahead. What it does is it delivers news, suggestions, and the latest cool content to your smartphone.
  • Speed Dial – easily set top sites and bookmarks in the Speed Dial and quickly open them.

“The free must-have app for your phone! Find friends – discover personalized news – download movies and music – search better. Do more online using less data, with the Opera browser. It’s our best all-in-one app for Android,” says Opera in the browser’s official description on the Play Store.

Opera for Android is available for download on the Play Store here.
Alternatively you can get it straight from Opera Software at opera.com.
