Here are the latest news from Norwegian software developer Opera Software. The first one is that Opera Software has introduced a new mail service – My Opera Mail Beta. If you have a My Opera account, as of this month you have an @myopera.com email address. To log into the aforementioned email address you need only go to mail.opera.com or click on the message icon on My Opera. Log in with your My Opera, Opera Link or Opera Unite username and password.

“Our goal is to make a fast and friendly mail service that is efficient and easy to use on any device, whether you prefer to access your e-mail from Opera Mini on a mobile phone, a tablet with touch interface or a desktop computer,” commented Community Manager with Opera Software, Espen Andre Øverdahl. “This is the first public release (beta) of the service. You can expect features to be refined and new ones to be added both during and after the beta period,” he added.

Moving on, the second Opera-related news I wanted to report upon is the release of the Opera Mini 6 Simulator. The simulator (you can check it out here) works just like it would if installed on a handset. So if you’re considering getting Opera Mini 6, take a look at the simulator to make up your mind – assuming of course that the fact that Opera Mini is used by more than 100 million people around the world is not enough to push you to get it.

And I’ve kept the best part for last: Opera 11.10 codename Barracuda has been released as a final version, moving out of Beta and Release Candidate. The Barracuda comes with the following cool new bits and pieces:

- It is faster than previous Opera versions.
- There are now an unlimited number of entries in Speed Dial. The new Speed Dial flow feature in Opera 11.10 opens new Speed Dials dynamically as you add them. Website developers can control how their site looks in Speed Dial.
- Opera Turbo has been enhanced. You can watch Opera’s Chief Development Officer Christen Krogh talk about Opera Turbo in this YouTube video.
- New layout choices
- An improved zoom slider.
- Can automatically download the Flash plugin and install it in the background.
- Added support for CSS3's multi-column layouts and gradients, the Web Open Font Format (WOFF) and Google's WebP image protocol.

Opera 11.10 is available for download here.
