Opera Software, the company that we all know for making the innovative and feature rich Opera web browser, has released Opera Mobile 10 Beta for Windows Mobile-powered devices. This release follows in the footsteps of Opera Mobile 10 for Symbian, software application that was released as a Beta earlier this month. As a matter of fact, the two have much in common.

The user interface (UI) has been updated – it is now simple, intuitive and very easy to use, just like in Opera Mobile 10 for Symbian. Features like tabbed browsing, Speed Dial, Opera Turbo, password manager and desktop favorites are available in both Opera 10 Mobile Beta versions. Last but not least, both applications use the latest generation Opera browser engine to ensure webpages work on a mobile device in the same manner they do on a desktop computer.

According to Opera Software, the similarities between the two browsers are not accidental. The company would like to create a stronger cohesion between its products and the way it decided to do so is by introducing a unified look across many of its platforms.

CEO of Opera Software, Jon von Tetzchner, explains: “We are unifying our products, so that users get the same experience, no matter the device or which particular Opera browser they are using. With Opera Mobile 10, we are raising the expectations of how a mobile browser should perform. Today, users require a browser as powerful as the Web, one that can handle their daily tasks as well as their computers. That’s Opera.”
