Opera Mini 6.1 and Opera Mobile 11.1 Are Out

Norwegian developer Opera Software recently announced that it updated its Opera Mini and Opera Mobile browsers to version 6.1 and version 11.1 respectively. Opera Software explained that after the successful launch of Opera Mini 6 and Opera Mini 11, it listened to user feedback, and implemented the most user requested features in the 6.1 and 11.1 updates.

“We have a saying at Opera: Listen to our users,” said Dag Olav Norem, VP Product Management, Opera Software. “As a company, we are constantly listening to our users on what they want in their browser. So, to our most vocal consumers, thank you and keep the feedback coming!”

The Opera Mini 6.1 browser is available for download for Java, Blackberry, Android or S60 devices on m.opera.com and in the Android Market. Here are the news bits and pieces Opera Mini 6.1 has to offer:
  • Added support for Google AutoComplete and Yandex Suggestions
  • Added ability to search directly from the address bar
  • Added intelligent domain suggest which suggests your most used domain endings
  • Added support for country domain auto-complete such as .ru or .id
  • Improved text selection

The Opera Mobile 11.1 is available for download for Android and S60 devices, also on m.opera.com and in the Android Market. Here are the new bits and pieces Opera 11.1 has to offer:
  • Added support for Google AutoComplete
  • Added ability to search directly from the address bar
  • Added intelligent domain suggest which suggests your most used domain endings
  • Added support for country domain auto-complete such as .ru or .id
  • Added user agent setting
  • Improved CSS, HTML5 standards support
  • Improved text selection
