Opera Software, the company that pioneered many of the must-have features of the modern web browser, has a new product to offer to the all the iPhone users out there: Opera Coast.

Opera Coast is the browser your iPhone deserves. It is a made-for-touch mobile browser that was specifically designed to work with your favorite Apple device and offer a spectacular browsing experience.

Norwegian software developer Opera, the company that pioneered many of the must-have features of the modern web browser, recently announced that a new Opera product is available for download from the App Store. The new product in question is a called Opera Coast – it is a gesture-controlled, content-centric mobile browser that is incredibly easy to use and offers an excellent web browsing experience.

“Like everyone who owns an iPhone, I’ve often picked it up when waiting for something or someone,” says Huib Kleinhout, Product Manager on the Opera Coast project at Opera Software. “I was never quite happy with how apps and browsers kind of got in the way of the content. With Opera Coast, we have made content the main star of the show, letting the browser app itself get out of the way when you just want to kill some time. It’s the way the web was meant to be enjoyed.”

The iPhone is all about touch and having easy access to everything you need within a thumb’s reach – Opera Coast is all about touch and thumbs as well. This made-for-touch mobile browser lets you easily navigate using gestures and swipes. There are just two menu buttons and they cover all your navigation needs.

As mentioned above, Opera Coast offers an excellent web browsing experience. Other browsers scale things down so they fit on your iPhone’s screen – not Opera Coast. “Every pixel, every image placement has been re-thought to make sure it not only fits, but also makes perfect sense for the iPhone,” said Opera Software.

From Opera Coast’s site tile grid you can easily access your favorite time-killing websites. And speaking about time, Opera Coast has a “Stuff we like” feature that helps you find even more time-killing websites. Or to put it in other words, Opera Coast provides easy access to your favorite content and helps you find even more content online.

Speaking about finding content, Opera Coast comes with a powerful search tool. As you type in a query, Opera Coast starts to offer suggestions. And as you enter an internet address, Opera Coast starts to offer site suggestions.

Opera Coast works with your iPhone and with your iPad. By using the automatic iCloud sync of site tiles in Opera Coast, you can sync sites between your iPhone and iPad.

Get Opera Coast for free from Apple’s App Store.
