If you do not fall in the categories presented above, you will have to work hard for your money, and any service that lets you save a few bucks is more than welcomed – especially now that we are in the middle of an economic crisis. BillShrink is a web service that helps you with several cost cutting areas in your day-to-day life: credit cards, cell phone plans, and gas prices. While helping you find the most effective solution when it comes to credit cards and cellphone plans may not be news for those of you that are familiar with BillShrink, the “Gas Prices” option is a relatively new addition to the web page. All you have to do is feed BillShrink with details about your daily commute (where you live and where you work), your vehicle (make and model) and the web service will track down the gas stations in your area that provide the best fuel prices.
iStopOver is a handy web service for the people that want to travel a lot but do not have the money, or are not willing to pay the bill attached to spending a night at a hotel. The service, which works like a hotel search engine, puts the traveler in touch with locals that rent out rooms. All you have to do is enter the name of the city you plan to visit and iStopOver provides you with the following info: available rooms, prices, see the location on Google Maps, see pictures of the location, ratings from other visitors.
