The recently released OPSWAT Security Score application analyzes your PC and gives it a security score. How much will you get? Get the tool and evaluate your PC’s security status.

OPSWAT, the developer that brought you AppRemover, a properly good application to efficiently remove antivirus, antispyware or public file sharing applications, brings you a new tool that provides an answer to the question “How does my computer’s security level rack up?” The recently released OPSWAT Security Score (still in Beta) gives your PC a score based on its security settings.

The Security Score tool offers a great way for end users to get a quick snapshot of the security status of their machine across multiple products,” commented Anish Patankar, Director of Product Management at OPSWAT. “One security application is often not enough to protect a machine on every front, so Security Score helps provide a global view over multiple security categories with thousands of supported applications.

You do not have to go through an installation process to get started with OPSWAT Security Score Beta – you just need to download this executable. Run the executable once the download completes and you will be presented with this.

Check the “I agree to the terms and conditions” box, hit the Start button, and the application will go to work. By that I mean it will analyze your computer’s security settings (active firewall, installed antivirus, HDD encryption, patch management, backup, public file sharing, and antiphishing) and issue a rating. Here’s the one I got after putting OPSWAT Security Score Beta to the test.

Click on Antivirus for example and the application will provide more info about the antivirus application that’s protecting your machine from malware.

Place your mouse over the i and you will be presented with tips on how to improve the score the application gave your system.
