Cerulean Studios has recently announced that it released a new Beta version of its popular multiprotocol instant messaging (IM) application to all the Windows users out there. The new Beta release in question is Trillian for Windows 5.2 Build 8 and it is available for download here.
If you’re familiar with the risks associated with testing Beta applications, then I invite you to go ahead and get Trillian for Windows Beta 5.2 Build 8 which has been made available to the public. Get the Beta and you will be able to enjoy the new features the application has to offer. The new features in question are: native spellchecking, enhanced Windows 7 support, and Twitter upgrades.
Let’s take a closer look at the new features Trillian for Windows Beta 5.2 Build 8 has to offer:
Native spellchecking
Cerulean Studios fitted the multiprotocol IM client with spellchecking capabilities. If you type a word in a message window and you don’t spell it right, Trillian will tell you about your mistake.
Enhanced Windows 7 support
On Windows 7, the Beta will now split tabbed chats into their individual windows in the taskbar. On top of that the recently released Beta comes with some great new jumplist features.
Twitter upgrades
Native retweets and older-style retweets used to be hidden in the preference. The Beta presents both methods in the right click menu. That’s not all: the Beta now lets you follow conversations right inside of Trillian.
What about future updates for Trillian? Cerulean Studios explained that “our goals for the Windows product this year are to keep updates flowing smoothly, to tackle a large batch of group chat enhancements and feature requests, and to release a few other surprises we’ve been working on lately.”
