Competitions, challenges, contests are great way to show what you are made off, great ways to show off your worth and get rewarded for it. Mozilla and Microsoft have each launched a competition that you might want to know about; after all, if you don’t know about them, you can’t enter the competition. And if you don’t enter, you can’t possibly win, now can you.

Mozilla, in collaboration with Infectious, has launched a competition called “People & Robots: Best Friends Forever”. Why in collaboration with Infectious? Because Mozilla has been pleasantly impressed with the laptop and iPhone skins, wallpapers, t-shirts and Personas that Infectious artists Zeptonn, David Lanham, Reuben Rude, Etsu Meusy and Paulo Arraiano came up with last month.

Getting back to the “People & Robots: Best Friends Forever” competition, here are the bits and pieces you should be made aware of.
- It is a design challenge.
- The design should focus on technology and how it makes people’s lives better.
- You need not implement the Firefox logo in your design.
- The winning designs will be turned into Laptop Art, iPhone Art, Desktop Wallpapers, iPhone Wallpapers, Firefox Personas, Firefox t-shirts and receive a featured spot in the Mozilla Creative Collective.
- 1st prize = $1,000 cash, $100 of Infectious Product and 5% of Net Sales, Firefox Ogio messenger bag, and a Firefox 3.5 t-shirt.
- 2nd prize = Roomba vacuum cleaning robot, $100 of Infectious Product and 5% of Net Sales, Firefox Ogio messenger bag, and a Firefox 3.5 t-shirt.
