Apple just recently rolled out Logic Pro X (version 10.0) to the public. This is, as Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Marketing put it, the most powerful Logic Pro version yet.

“Logic Pro X is our most powerful version yet, with advanced tools and a modern new interface designed to streamline the process of creating professional quality music,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Musicians are going to love creative new features like Drummer, Flex Pitch, Track Stacks and the Arpeggiator.”

On Tuesday, July the 16th, Cupertino-based software developer Apple announced the release of Logic Pro X to the public. This latest and most advanced version comes with a redesigned interface meant for pro users, a host of powerful new features that musicians will put to good use, and an expanded collection of instruments and effects.

Logic Pro X – New Interface
The interface that professional users relied on for their music production needs has been redesigned in this latest release, version 10.0. Logic Pro X comes with a modern, streamlined new look that provides easy access to the application’s tools and powerful functionality.

Logic Pro X – New Features
To meet a pro’s demanding songwriting and music production needs, Logic Pro X comes with a collection of new creative tools:
  • Drummer – professionally produced, realistic drum tracks.
  • Drum Kit Designer – this new plug-in lets you build your own custom kit using a diverse collection of professionally recorded snare drums, toms, hi-hats and cymbals.
  • Instruments – the rich collection of synthesizers and keyboards has been expanded with new instruments.
  • MIDI plug-ins – there are nine new MIDI plug-ins. One of them is the Arpeggiator, which can transform a simple keyboard chord into an elaborate performance. Retro Synth is another; it emulates some of the most popular classic synthesizer tones from the 70s and 80s.
  • Logic Remote – remotely access Logic Pro X’s functionality by using the iPad’s Multi-Touch display. The iPad becomes a portable device for recording, mixing, and performing instruments in Logic Pro X.
  • MainStage 3 – the live performance companion app that turns your Mac into a live rig.

“Logic Pro was critical to writing and recording our debut album Night Visions, so we couldn’t wait to get our hands on Logic Pro X,” said Wayne Sermon, guitarist of the Platinum-selling band Imagine Dragons. “We love the new design, and the creative features of Logic Pro X have already been inspiring us to write new material while we’re on tour.”

You can get Logic Pro X and MainStage 3 from the Mac App Store.
They’re priced at $199.99 (US) and $29.99 (US), respectively.

Logic Remote is available as a free download from the App Store.
