Seeing that the Minions movie is a huge hit at the box office, it makes sense to roll out a mobile game that features the yellow troublemakers, doesn’t it? Of course it does!

Meet 'Minions Paradise', a mobile game for iOS and Android that promises to take you on the vacation of a lifetime and keep the party going for years to come.

The game’s story

Minions Paradise introduces Phil, an exclusive, never-before-seen Minion that was created exclusively for the mobile game. Phil is a key part of the game’s story, story that goes something like this.

The Minions are on a cruise ship, partying and enjoying their vacation. The lovable-yet-bumbling Phil manages to sink the ship, stranding all the minions on a tropical island. Thanks a lot, Phil!

This is Phil.

Now that everyone is stranded on a tropical island, it’s up to Phil to turn it into the ultimate party-paradise. You’re invited to join the party and go on the vacation of a lifetime. Fun surprises are waiting to be discovered.

Minions Paradise – Main Features
  • Join the party – help Phil organize the perfect party and turn the island into the ultimate vacation getaway. Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, the Minions you love from the Minions movie, are waiting for you to join in the fun.
  • Customize the island – let you creative juices flow and customize the island using hot tubs, hammocks, or beach volleyball courts. Plant firefly trees, grow bushels of bananas, and more.
  • Play fun games – become an expert at alligator waterskiing, dive off waterslides, and play other fun mini-games. The more you explore this island paradise, the more fun your Minions will have.
  • Villainous vacations – the Minions live to serve a villainous leader. All your favorite villains from the Minions movie are in the game. You have to help Phil build a special resort for the villains and you must ensure the villains enjoy paradise while putting their own dastardly plans into motion.
You’ll have to complete various quests by constructing buildings and by sending Minions to perform all sorts of tasks around the island. You’ll have to collect resources and combine them in crafting buildings to create new items. You’ll receive sand dollars, the game’s free currency, whenever you complete quests and other tasks. Doubloons are the game’s premium currency. When you send a Minion to perform a task, it will take time for that task to be completed. If you can afford to spend some doubloons, you won't have to wait. The task will complete instantly.

Instead of experience points, you’ll earn Party Points as you play the game. When the Party Points meter fills up, the Minions will throw a party and you’ll get a special prize. If you have too many party supplies on your hand, you can sell them for Party Points and Sand Dollars at the game’s Celebration Station board.

The numbers of tasks that can be completed depends on the number of Minions that are on the island. Over time, you’ll automatically receive new Minions. Craft Welcome Baskets and you can unlock more Minions. Take a look at the game’s Celebration Station board to see what items are required to craft these Welcome Baskets.
