When I’m bored and I want to kill some time, I fire up my browser and visit the Miniclip website. There I can find a long, long list of casual browser-based games I can play. Why only a couple of weeks ago I got into a competition with my younger brother over who can get a higher score playing Robo Rampage. Yes, we were both really bored.

The news is that incredibly popular site Miniclip was started back in May 2001, which means that Miniclip is now 10 years old. Happy Bday Miniclip, and thanks for the countless hours of time-wasting fun you have offered to me and the 60 million unique monthly visitors who visit your site to enjoy the more than 650 games you have to offer!

A joyous occasion like the 10th anniversary deserves to be celebrated – and that is precisely what Miniclip is doing. It is giving users the chance to enter a free prize draw and win a $10,00 gadget bundle. To have the chance to win you need only play Miniclip’s new DecaJump game and submit your high score as a registered user. If you are not registered, you can register for an account or you can use your existing Facebook account.

Furthermore a special anniversary section has been launched on Miniclip’s website, section with numerous exciting features and gifts. And if that wasn’t enough, on its Facebook page Miniclip is letting fans upload and share their own celebrations of Miniclip's birthday.

"This is a great year for Miniclip" said Rob Small, CEO of Minclip. "10 years ago I would never have guessed we'd be where we are now, celebrating our 10th Anniversary with great successes behind us. This success is thanks to some amazing colleagues and millions of fans around the world who share with us a passion for fun, entertaining and innovative games. We love what we're doing and we're going to keep at it!"
