The Garage, Microsoft’s 24-hour idea factory that turns fresh ideas into real projects, just presented Tossup, a free mobile app for iOS and Android. Its purpose is to take the hassle out of making plans with friends.

Making plans with friends can be a bit challenging, especially when everyone is busy with work, personal projects, and so on. The bright minds at Microsoft’s Garage are well aware of this fact. And that is why they came up with Tossup, a handy mobile app that “lets you make plans with friends the hassle-free way.”

Tossup – Main Features
  • Ask and vote – you can ask a question, something like “Who’s up for dinner tomorrow?”, and your friends will cast their votes. Tossup aggregates all the responses so you can easily decide where and when to meet with friends.
  • Polling options – use a predefined polling option or write your own. Polls can be sent via email, SMS, or Facebook.
  • Chat – the built-in chat lets you chat about your decisions with the group.
  • Calendar – connect your calendar so you’ll be notified about important events.
  • Availability – Tossup is available for free for iOS and Android. Nope, it’s not available for Windows Phone.

Get Tossup for iOS from Apple’s App Store.
Tossup works with iOS 8.0 or later. It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

Get Tossup for Android from Google Play.
Tossup works with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and newer.
