As you may already know, Microsoft’s new Surface Pro tablet went on sale this weekend. What you may not know is that Microsoft rolled out an interesting video commercial for the new device. Check it out below.

The video above was released by Microsoft to promote the new Surface Pro, the tablet powered by Windows 8 Pro that, alongside other new products and accessories, hit the this weekend in the US and Canada. The device is powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, features a Surface pen with Palm Block technology that was designed specifically to let you edit, collaborate and get things done faster, and is available as a 64GB and a 128GB model.

The earlier model, the Surface tablet powered by Windows RT and an ARM processor, went on sale back in October 2012. The news about Surface RT is that the device will become available in more countries on the 14th of February. Surface RT’s market availability will be extended to cover 13 additional markets. Come Valentines Day, users in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland will be able to purchase a Surface RT tablet.

“We are thrilled to expand the Surface family with the release of Surface Pro,” said Panos Panay, corporate vice president, Microsoft Surface. “The launch of Surface Pro marks a pivotal moment for customers who can now do more with their machines than ever before. Within the Surface family, customers will be able to choose a combination of devices that best suit their needs: Surface Pro, which provides the power and performance of a laptop in a tablet package, or Surface RT, which offers the convenience of a tablet with some laptop capabilities so you can get things done.”
