Check this out! Over the weekend, Microsoft rolled out SNIPP3T, an iOS app that helps you, well, virtually stalk your favorite celebrities. Subscribe to a celebrity and you will get a personalized stream of headlines and social media feeds about that celebrity.

The official app description on the App Store says that SNIPP3T “snips everything you want to know about your favorite celebrities from all over the web and puts it in one place.” So thanks to SNIPP3T, your iPhone becomes a central location with all the latest news about your favorite celeb(s).

SNIPP3T – Main Features
  • Subscribe – Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus, David Duchovny, Katy Perry, and many other celebrities are featured. Find and subscribe to the celebrities you love.
  • Explore – celebrity timelines, celebrity profile pages, news stories, and other interesting content is available for you to explore.
  • Share – connect with other fans, discuss the latest news, and share your thoughts.
SNIPP3T [pronounced "snippet"] is a personalized and fun app that lets you stay up to date on the celebrities you care about most. With news, images, videos, social mentions, and individual profiles from across the web for over 10,000 celebrities, SNIPP3T is the only app that gives you a comprehensive view of celebrities that matter the most to you,” says Microsoft on the official SNIPP3T webpage.

The SNIPP3T app is available for free on Apple’s App Store here.
Please note that the app requires iOS 7.0 or later, that the app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and that the app is optimized for iPhone 5.

At the time of writing this, SNIPP3T is available for iOS only. It is not available for Android and it is not available for Windows Phone either.

Please note that SNIPP3T will want to sync with your Facebook profile. If you don’t connect with your Facebook, the app becomes a Bing-like interface that presents celebrity news.
