Nokia, who sold its Devices and Services division to Microsoft, recently rolled out a couple of videos that promote Cortana, the digital assistant for Windows Phone 8.1. The videos show how Microsoft’s Cortana is so much better than Siri.

Remind Me” is the name of one of the two videos Microsoft rolled out. From this video we find out that Cortana can remind you to say happy birthday when your girlfriend sends you a text and use your sick voice when your boss calls to check up on you. The video ends with Siri saying “can you remind me that I need an update?”

Here’s the "Remind Me" video that Nokia rolled out on Wednesday, September 24.

The second video that Nokia rolled out on Wednesday is called "Lost". It shows how Cortana can help you to make it to an appointment in time by checking the traffic and reminding you to leave early. The video ends with Siri saying that she’s turning on her GPS because “I’m completely lost.”

And here’s the "Lost" video that Nokia released yesterday.

Early this September, Nokia rolled out a commercial called "Groundhog Day" and, as expected, it too makes fun of Siri. In the video, Cortana says that she can remember lots of things: your favorite kinds of restaurants, appointments (and help you get to the appointment on time), or favorite news topics. Siri cannot remember any of these things. The video ends with Siri saying “I remember when I was the only phone that talked.”

This is the "Groundhog Day" commercial that Nokia rolled out early September.

This reminds me! Early September, another company made fun of Apple. Early September, IKEA rolled out a video entitled “Experience the power of a bookbook.” Jörgen Eghammer, Chief Design Guru at IKEA, takes an Apple approach to presenting the new IKEA Catalog, which is neither a book nor an eBook – it is a bookbook.

Getting back to Cortana, check out the Campaign Cortana webpage on Nokia.com or the Cortana section on the Windows Phone 8 How To website to learn more about the digital assistant.
