Meebo, the web based instant messaging client that you can use free of charge on various platforms without having to install a thing, has released an iPhone app. Thanks to the Meebo for iPhone app, users can now monitor their AIM, Facebook, Google Talk, ICQ, Windows Live, Yahoo and other accounts on social networks.

Here is a more detailed look at what Meebo for iPhone has to offer:
  • Access to all your buddies (AIM, Gmail, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo, Facebook, MySpace, etc)
  • Receive push notifications when you get a new IM, even when the app is closed
  • Flick between multiple conversation windows
  • Type in landscape and portrait mode
  • Manage your chat sessions as you switch back and forth between the Meebo iPhone app and meebo.com
  • Synchronized chat history between your iPhone and meebo.com
The fact that Meebo does not cost a thing should be incentive enough to get you to try the app. Just in case the absence of a price tag is not enough for you, here are some other reasons you might want to try Meebo for iPhone. First of all, the app will do all the things mentioned above at a fast pace. Secondly, you will not have to go though a long list of configuration options. The app is quite simple to use; so simple that even the novice user will pick up the basics in no time at all.

If you are already a Meebo user, you just need to get the App (download link at the bottom) and sign in. Once you do so the app will automatically retrieve your account settings. You’ll be ready to start messaging friends in no time at all.

If you would like to get the Meebo for iPhone app, you can download it straight from the App Store here.
