We are all familiar with JARVIS, Tony Stark's artificially intelligent computer from the Iron Man movies. Get excited, because Marvel announced that it will launch a JARVIS app on September 10.

The release of the JARVIS app for IOS is set to coincide with the home video release of Iron Man 3.

“Wouldn’t it be cool to have JARVIS on your iPhone?” – that seems to be the premise behind Marvel’s recent announcement. The company announced that come the 10th of September it will roll out a JARVIS voice-activated personal assistant iOS app that will, among other things, help you control your Blu-ray of Marvel's "Iron Man 3".

Here is what the JARVIS app will be able to do, as explained by Marvel:
  • Like Tony Stark, users can engage JARVIS through voice-activated commands.
  • Receive messages from JARVIS, download ringtones, post to Facebook and more.
  • Check time, local weather as well as set alarms through the integrated Clock mode.
  • Initiate media delivered in messages, including video, audio, image, ringtone or website.
  • Install unique ringtones.
  • Unlock 42 unique Iron Man suits (plus additional "Ghost" file).
  • When connected to the same network as the Blu-ray player, JARVIS will function as the Blu-ray remote control, or the user can simply "say what you see" and the app will do the rest.
And here are the JAVIS images Marvel released.

JARVIS - App Home Screen

JARVIS - Blu-ray Remote

JARVIS – Hall of Armors

JARVIS – Clock and Alarm

So if you don’t want Siri to tell you the weather, post to social media, or wake you up, thanks to Marvel you can have JARVIS do all these things for you. Come the 10th of September, all iOS users who get the JARVIS app will get a taste of what it’s like to be in Tony Stark’s shoes.
