People using Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac will be interested to know that the Redmond-based software developer has announced the release of the second service pack for the productivity suite. Office 2008 SP2 (Service Pack 2), which was released by the Redmond-based company at the start of the week, weighs in at 297MB and is meant to provide improved stability and performance to the productivity suite.

“This update contains several improvements to enhance stability and performance. It introduces a new application called the Microsoft Document Connection, to work with files that are located on a SharePoint site or Microsoft Office Live Workspace. This update also includes new features, such as path animations and animated .GIFs, in Microsoft PowerPoint 2008 for Mac. Also, this update is the minimum Office for Mac requirement for installing Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Edition,” explained Microsoft.
