Logi BASE, Logitech's Newest Accessory, Is the First Charging Stand for the iPad Pro
The new Logi BASE accessory from Logitech uses Apple’s Smart Connector technology to charge the 12.9-inch as well as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. It is the first iPad Pro stand that uses the Smart Connector to charge the iPad Pro.
Magnets in the charging cradle guide the iPad Pro into place, aligning it with the Smart Connector. There’s no need for charging ports, just place your iPad Pro on the Logi BASE and it will start charging your device.

The Logi BASE holds your iPad Pro in horizontal or landscape mode, at a 70-degree viewing angle, so you can keep using it with ease. And while you use your iPad Pro, it charges it via the Smart Connector.
So place it on a desk to enjoy some videos, place it on the kitchen counter to follow your favorite recipes, place it on your nightstand and check the weather in the morning, place it next to your laptop and use it as a second screen.
The Logi BASE has to be plugged into a power outlet. To do so, you must use your iPad USB charging cable with Lightning Connector. Please note that the Logi BASE package does not include a Lightning to USB cable, nor does it include a power adapter. You’re advised to use the cable and the adapter that came with your iPAd Pro.
Once the Logi BASE is plugged in, you can place it on a nightstand, on a desk, anywhere you want. Then you can place your iPad Pro on the Logi BASE. Magnets in the Logi BASE charging cradle will guide your iPad Pro in position, aligning it with the Smart connector.
Once you’ve placed your iPad Pro on the Logi BASE, the stand will start charging it. According to Logitech, the amount of time required to fully charge an iPad Pro is around 7 hours.
The Logi BASE charging stand is available for purchase from Logitech for $99.99. That isn't exactly cheap.
