Linux Mint 14 Nadia RC Is Out

The Linux Mint team recently announced that the Release Candidate (RC) of Linux Mint 14 codename Nadia has been rolled out to the public.

Linux Mint 14 codename Nadia (pronounced NAH-d’-yah, inspired by Nadezhda “Nadia” Chernyshevski, Maya’s best friend in Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars trilogy) has reached an important milestone in its development process: the RC (Release Candidate) has been rolled out. Download links for the 32 and 64-bit MATE and Cinnamon editions are available here.

Before you go get Nadia, make sure you computer meets these system requirements:

  • x86 processor for the 32 or 64-bit edition, x64 processor for the 64-bit edition.
  • at least 512MB of RAM memory; it is recommended you have 1GB of RAM memory.
  • 5GB of free disk space.
  • Graphics card capable of 800x600 resolution.
  • CD/DVD drive or USB Port.
