CCleaner 3.05, the update that was released this March, showed Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) and Mozilla’s Firefox browser some love by fully supporting IE9 and Firefox 4.
CCleaner 3.06, update that was released earlier this week, has shown some love to the Opera web browser.

Taking a look at the change log for CCleaner 3.06, you will notice the following (I highlighted Opera for a dramatic effect, Opera was not highlighted in the original change log):

- Added HTML5 Offline cache cleaning and management for Opera and Safari.
- Added Opera Last Download Location cleaning.
- Added Opera Recently Typed URLs cleaning.
- Added Opera Session cleaning.

About the first entry in the list above, the one that says HTML5 Offline cache cleaning and management has been added. The Piriform team said that being fully compatible with HTML5 was the main goal for this update.

“With HTML5 browser technologies improving every month, we're working with the manufacturers to be fully compatible! This release has added support for cleaning IndexedDB (formerly WebSimpleDB) - a new method for allowing web apps to store databases locally,” said Piriform, the privately owned UK software developer dedicated to creating top quality applications for Windows.

Here are the other entries on the CCleaner 3.06 change log:
- Added HTML5 IndexedDB cleaning and management for Firefox and Chrome.
- Added Firefox Site Preferences cleaning.
- Improved Chrome Most visited Sites history cleaning.
- Improved Registry reading and cleaning algorithm.
- Improved Intelligent cookie scanning.
- Improved IE Temporary Internet Files cleaning.
- Improved IE History cleaning.
- Improved "Windows Service" registry issue detection.
- Improved "ActiveX and Class Issues" registry issue detection.
- Updated Google Chrome icon.
- Added cleaning for Core FTP, FileZilla, SmartFTP, A-Squared, MySpaceIM and MusicMatch Jukebox.
- Improved cleaning for CuteFTP.
- Minor bug fixes.

If you are already on CCleaner, I advise you to get the latest update.
If you are not using CCleaner, I definitely advise you to get this free application that easily removes files and data that is needlessly taking up space on your computer. You can get CCleaner straight from Piriform here.
