Leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions Kaspersky Lab announced earlier this month that it will unveil a new tablet security solution at the Mobile World Congress, the world’s largest international mobile technology exhibition that will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from the 27th of February until the 1st of March 2012.

The new security solution, which is meant to protect Android-powered tablets from all sorts of security threats, will be unveiled on the 28th of February. Senior Product Manager with Kaspersky Lab Mobile Solutions, Victor Dronov, will unveil the brand new tablet security solution and a Beta-version of parental control for Android and iOS-powered devices.

According to the scarce information that Kaspersky Lab provided, the new tablet security solution “includes cloud technology support for antivirus technologies, web security and anti-theft protection” and it is a “specialized security solution that ensures both protection against malicious and fraudulent software, and the inviolability of personal data in case of loss or theft of a device.”

In related news, the company that provides protection against malware, hackers and spam, made another interesting announcement earlier this month: Kaspersky Lab announced the worldwide release of its multi-platform, user-centric, universal security solution, Kaspersky One. Available in packages for 3, 5, 7 and 10 devices, Kaspersky One can protect a wide range of personal devices, from personal computers and notebooks to smartphones and tablets. The security solution can protect all the personal devices that you use in your everyday life.

“Personal computers nowadays have lost the monopoly of storing personal information,” explained Eugene Kaspersky, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab. “A significant amount of very sensitive data is kept on smartphones and tablets. That is why it is absolutely necessary to secure all your digital devices against cybercrime. With Kaspersky ONE Universal Security, all PCs and Macs, mobile phones and Android tablets that you own can be easily protected with one simple solution, which is based on the leading security technology”.
