Renowned security company Kaspersky Lab recently announced that it rolled out the 2014 editions of its properly good security solutions Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV) and Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS). These new products have been enhanced so they offer home users an even higher level of protection.

Every protection feature has been improved. Malware protection, internet threats protection, cybercriminals protection, personal information protection, identity theft protection, suspicious websites protection, vulnerability exploitation protection – they have all been enhanced.

Malware sometimes hides deep within a program’s components. To identify it, KAV 2014 as well as KIS 2014 come with Kaspersky Lab’s proprietary ZETA Shield antivirus technology. What this tech does is it performs an in-depth scan of files and applications running on the computer, thus managing to identify malware no matter how well it is hidden.

Ransomware is a particularly nasty form of malware. If it manages to infect your PC, it will take your data hostage and ask for money to give it back. With ransomware in mind, Kaspersky Lab developed and implemented Anti-Blocker technology in KAV 2014 and KIS 2014. Thanks to this tech you can use a hotkey to unblock a PC that was blocked by ransomware.

“The technologies found in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2014 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 are the most advanced protection tools available, and are designed to protect the financial data and personal information that’s most valuable to our customers,” said Nikolay Grebennikov, Chief Technology Officer at Kaspersky Lab.
