Earlier this week popular micro-blogging and social networking site Twitter announced that it added a new bit of functionality, mainly the option to share photos via text message. Twitter explained that sending a text message represents the easiest way to post tweets and follow Twitter accounts. This feature is available in some 80 countries and the number of people taking advantage of it continues to increase.

Since this feature is popular and continually growing in functionality, it’s only normal to add 'share photo via text' functionality. It is incredibly easy to share photos via sms. Here is what you have to do: type in your tweet just like you always do, attach a photo the message, then send the message to Twitter.

Please note that this bit of functionality is only available with these carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Cellular South in the US; Vodafone, O2 and Orange in the UK; Vodafone Italy; Rogers Communications in Canada; VIVA Bahrain; and, TIM Brazil. More carriers will be added to the list in the future, explained Twitter.

Moving on, Google announced earlier this week that it introduced multiple sign-in for Gmail for mobile. The option to sign into multiple Google accounts and switch between them has been out there for quite some time – for the desktop version of Gmail that is. As of this week, it is also available for Gmail for mobile.

“Just like on your desktop, you can now to sign into multiple accounts simultaneously. To sign into an additional account, click on the account switcher at the bottom of the threadlist, then click 'Sign into an another account.' You can quickly switch between accounts by selecting the desired account from the Accounts menu,” explained Mobile Software Engineer Dominic Leung.

He went on to say that Gmail for mobiles has updated URLs so that each account can have a separate bookmark. This means that you’ll need to update your Gmail for mobile bookmark. If you haven’t tried Gmail for mobile until now, this would be a great opportunity. Just head over to mail.google.com on your mobile device.
