Earlier today we were reporting that Kaspersky Lab’s Kaspersky Internet Security 2011, because it is a properly good security software solution you could use to protect your Windows-powered computer, has won two more awards from reputable IT magazines. Switching focus away from the PC and putting the spotlight on the Mac, Intego has received recognition for its VirusBarrier X6 antivirus application.
About.com regularly asks users to vote for their favorite software applications part of the Readers Choice Awards. As part of the 2011 About.com Reader’s Choice Awards, the readers have spoken and they selected Intego’s VirusBarrier X6 as the Best Mac Antivirus product.
Intego VirusBarrier X6 got 59% of the votes, beating Panda Antivirus for Mac (21%), Norton Antivirus for Mac (12%), Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Mac and ESET Cybersecurity for Mac (4% both).
