Intego Slices Prices in Half this Easter
Intego is celebrating Easter by slashing the price tag for some of its products in half. The company that provides security solutions and utilities for Macs announced that it is offering a 50% discount on the following products: Intego Virus Barrier Plus, Intego Backup Express, and Intego Washing Machine. The 50% discount is available until April 8.
“Get these programs now at 50% off, and protect your Mac from malware, back up your data, and clean up unneeded files created by programs that access the Internet,” said Intego.

Intego VirusBarrier Plus – security solution that keeps viruses, Trojans, and other malware away from Macs and also detects Windows malware. The application protects Macs and prevents Macs from passing on malware to Windows users.

In related news, Intego announced that some five hundred thousand Macs have been infected by the Flashback malware that has been very efficient at exploiting a Java vulnerability to infect Macs with no user intervention in many cases. Apple released a patch for the vulnerability and then a second patch to try and fix the vulnerability. The first patch was for Snow Leopard and Lion, the second only for Lion.
