It can scan files received by email (or email attachments), archives, files downloaded from Safari, files accessed by apps that support inter-app file transfers (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, HTML files, JavaScript files, EXE files, .dll files, and so on), files stored on remote locations (Dropbox, iDisks and WebDav disks), and files stored on iOS devices.
How it works
VirusBarrier iOS performs on-demand scans in the background. This means that the user initiates the scans, then the scans are performed by the application in the background. Intego explained that VirusBarrier iOS cannot perform automatic scans or scheduled scans because of the secure design of iOS. It can automatically update its malware definitions though.
But, there’s no known iOS malware
