Intego Products Are Fully Compatible with Lion
Earlier this month Intego, company that specializes in providing security solutions for Mac, announced that it plans to update its software before Cupertino-based software developer Apple releases Mac OS X 10.7 Lion to the masses. Well today, the 20th of July, Apple announced just that – that Lion is available for purchase in the Mac App Store. So what do you suppose Intego did?
True to its word, Intego updated its products so that they are fully compatible with Lion. If you have Intego-developed software installed on your machine, you should ensure that you have the latest version before you upgrade to Lion. By updating Intego’s software first, you ensure it works flawlessly with Lion. If you upgrade to Lion first, then update your Intego software, you may find out that Lion disabled certain parts of Intego programs (Lion disables bits that are not compatible and you will be left unprotected).
The latest versions of Intego’s software, versions that fully compatible with Lion are:
- ContentBarrier X510.5.7
- ContentBarrier 10.6 10.6.4
- FileGuard 10.6 10.6.2
- NetBarrier X510.5.7
- NetUpdate 10.5.7
- Personal Antispam X510.5.11
- Personal Antispam 10.610.6.7
- Personal Backup X510.5.9
- Personal Backup X610.6.2
- Remote Management Console 2 2.0.3
- VirusBarrier X510.5.13
- VirusBarrier X6 10.6.13
- VirusBarrier Server 3 3.2
- Washing Machine 2.4
“Your security is important to us,” said Intego. “[Our] developers have worked hard in recent months to ensure that all of the company’s applications will work with Lion. All of Intego’s software is ready for Lion, and some programs have been fully Lion-compatible now for several weeks.”
If you’re not currently using Intego software, you should. Besides the fact that it is properly good, top notch software, there is one other reason you may want to do so: Intego is offering existing and new customers a 10% discount on any product purchased from the Intego online store. The discount applies to standard packs, family packs, Dual Protection software, and full upgrades. To get the discount, customers need to use this code: X6LION-107. The discount is available until August 20th.
