Cupertino-based company Apple has recently announced that it will host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC for short) at Moscone West, in San Francisco, from the 11th of June until the 14th of June. Apple engineers will hold more than 100 technical sessions at Moscone West this June.

WWDC 2012 will be a 5-day conference that will give developers the chance to take a glimpse into the future of iOS and Max OS X. Those who attend the conference will get to explore the latest innovations, features and capabilities of iOS and OS X Mountain Lion.

WWDC 2012 will also give participants the opportunity to build new apps, to find out how to enhance their app’s functionality, performance, quality and design. Apple engineers will be glad to work with those who bring their code to the labs. The engineers will showcase how apps can be enhanced by applying development techniques and best-practices.

Here is what Apple’s Senior Vice President for Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller, had to say about the annual Worldwide Developers Conference:
“We have a great WWDC planned this year and can’t wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers. The iOS platform has created an entirely new industry with fantastic opportunities for developers across the country and around the world.”

The popular Apple Design Awards will once again be held as part of WWDC 2012. The most outstanding apps from last year will be presented during the awards. The apps that demonstrate technical excellence, innovation and outstanding design will be recognized during the Apple Design Awards at WWDC 2012.
