Back in July Microsoft rolled out IE11 Developer Preview for Windows 7 and invited developers to get the new browser and test it. This September Microsoft rolled out IE11 Release Preview for Windows 7 and it is inviting a larger audience to test the new browser.

You can get Internet Explorer 11 Release Preview straight from Microsoft here.

Here’s the story so far. This June, Microsoft rolled out a preview version of Windows 8.1 to the public, version that came bundled with a preview version of Internet Explorer. All the users who got Windows 8.1 Preview could get a taste of what it will be like to browse the web with IE11.

About a month later, in July, the Redmond-based software developer rolled out IE11 Developer Preview for Windows 7. This version was meant for programmers and developers. They were invited to go get the browser and test it against their sites. Microsoft touted at the time that the browser comes with the best browsing experience, faster page load times, new standards support for next generation sites, and completely revised F12 developer tools.

About two months have passed since IE11 Developer Preview was rolled out to the public. It’s now August and the good news is that Microsoft made IE11 Release Preview for Windows 7 available for download. Tech enthusiasts and consumers from all corners of the globe are invited to get this IE11 release and test it out.

“We are proud of the new Internet Explorer and how far the browser has come and we know that users will be impressed, too! In fact, we recently took to the streets to find out exactly what people think about Internet Explorer and found that when it comes to IE, there are still some misconceptions floating around out there. But as you’ll see, actually using IE11 and Windows 8.1 was enough to change a few minds,” said Microsoft’s Roger Capriotti, Senior Director, Internet Explorer Marketing.

The final version of IE11 will be released alongside Windows 8.1, which is scheduled to hit GA (General Availability) on the 18th of October.
