Microsoft, in a push to get more people to use its browser, is now saying that you should stop hating on Internet Explorer and start using it instead. IE10 is a completely redesigned browser and it’s really good.

For a long time, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) was a big joke and the only reason why it held so much market share was because it came bundled with the Windows operating system and, business users in particular, never bothered to switch to something else. A lot of people hated IE and for good reason – but according to Microsoft, the hating has got to stop now that IE10 is out. IE is a completely redesigned browser and it's really good, says Microsoft.

To back its point of view, Microsoft rolled out a webpage entitled “The Browser You loved to Hate”. If I had to compare the website to something in real life, I would have to say it’s like the ads in Times Square – a lot of windows saying how great IE is and how you should just stop your mumbling and give it a try.

The website is also home to a video ad aimed at all the haters out there. It basically features an internet troll who does nothing but post “IE SUCKS” messages all day long. But somehow IE manages to change his point of view. If you’re intrigued, go ahead and view the ad below.

Roger Capriotti, Director, Internet Explorer Marketing, is also inviting you to give Internet Explorer a try. “So if you haven’t already taken another look, we’d encourage you to reconsider Internet Explorer. It’s perfect for touch, it’s amazingly fast and fluid, and it is hands down the best browser for Windows 8,” he said in a blog post.

The bottom line is that Microsoft, by touting the fact that IE has been redesigned and is properly good now, is inviting you to test its browser. What do you think?
